JOHN HEGLEY

Award winning poet John Hegley has worked across the BBC Radio network and published a dozen books, two CDs and one mug. In 2012, John was poet in residence at Keats House, Hampstead. A great favourite at HCBF his event will blend words, rhythm and humour. His poetry explores such diverse topics as dog hair, potatoes, handkerchiefs and the misery of human existence.

NICK SHARRATT
Nick Sharratt is one of the most recognizable illustrators in Britain, with 250 books to his name. His humorous pictures grace board books for babies to young adult novels. A short film will enable the audience to draw along with Nick.

JACQUELINE WILSON
One of the world’s greatest children’s authors is coming to Hertford. Jacqueline Wilson, former Children’s Laureate, has written over 100 novels for children and 2016 marks the 25th anniversary of her perennially popular character Tracy Beaker. Jacqueline will talk about her writing and take questions from the audience.
